What Is a Class?
If you’re looking for group instruction on Metafy, or even just a group hangout, you’ll find it on the Metafy Classes page. The group size, cost, duration, and what takes place during that time is completely up to the Pro in charge.
How Do I Join a Class?
Find a Class you like, click it to check out the details, and sign up through the Class page. Payments, which need to be in the form of a credit card, also take place through that page. Please note that Class purchases cannot be made using Member credits. Please take careful note of the date and time of your session, before purchasing.
Where Do I Join My Class?
Classes take place on Metafy’s Discord server, at discord.mfy.gg, in a dedicated Class channel. That channel will become accessible to you 20 minutes before the Class is about to start, and we recommend you test out your audio equipment before the session.
What if I Need to Cancel?
Class purchases can only be canceled and refunded if you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled session start time. If your class meets over the course of several sessions, the 48-hour window applies only to the first session. Once that time has passed, the refund window has closed. Even if you cannot continue with the Class, refunds of any kind are not available after that time. If for some reason your Pro doesn't show up for your Class, you will be automatically refunded.
How Do I Find My Discord ID?
To join a Class, you will need to provide both your Discord ID and your Discord Username at checkout. Your Discord ID is a numeric code, and is not the same as your Discord Username. To find your ID, go to settings > advanced, turn on developer mode, and right click on your username to copy ID.
Can I Record a Class?
Sorry, no. Students are not authorized to record any part of the session. Be prepared to be recorded, though. Pros are permitted to film and distribute Group Sessions at their discretion. If the Pro decides to record, VODs will automatically be sent out to all paying customers within a few days.
How Can I Tell if a Class Is a One-Off or Recurring?
Multiple-session Classes are marked by a banner that says “# Sessions,” so if you don’t see that banner, it’s a one-off. Additionally, when you click a Class for more detail, the number of sessions in that class will be listed.
